Things are happening. That’s the worst opening line ever, isn’t it? I always tell my students that the story is in the details, and then I go and give you nothing. It isn’t because I don’t love you. It’s just that sometimes I don’t know where to start and so I say something stupid (this happens to me in real life too; it’s not just a bloggery thing).
So here are a few of the things that are happening, in detail:
- It’s the last day to vote for the Best of Circlet Press! (see sexy cover above). There are a ton of fantastic stories to read and vote for (including -insert big fat grin- one of mine!). You can read an excerpt of my story here, if you’re so inclined. Whether you vote for me or not, please do go and vote. It’s going to be a beautiful book! (Of course, the shameless thing to do would be to say that I really really really want to be in this book! Hint-hint, nudge-nudge, wink-beg ).
- I have a story in an awesome book called Scheherazade’s Facade: Fantastical Tales of Gender Bending, Cross-Dressing, and Transformation, edited by Michael M. Jones and published by Circlet Press. It’s doing a cool Kickstarter project, and we’re already rocking our goal. Please contribute if you can — it’s also going to be a beautiful book!
- In the next few months, you’re going to hear a lot about Bound By Lust, my upcoming collection from Cleis Press. It is a super sexy set of BDSM erotic romance stories by some incredibly talented authors. I consider myself lucky to be working with them. We’ll be doing promotions, give-aways, and any number of things that I’ll be asking your help with — I really really want to make this book go as big as it deserves to.
- Lastly, if you haven’t checked out my Body of Work project in a while, this is just a little reminder that I’m still plugging away at it. It’s one image and one written thing (often poems) every day. This month has a music theme. Swing by and check it out. Maybe you’ll be inspired to write something!
So there. Those are my details. They’re pretty shiny, aren’t they? Thanks for listening. I have more shiny news coming your way — not detail shiny, but big-big shiny. Can’t wait.
Kiss kiss bang bang, s.
