Boy, is squealage even a word? Well, it is now. It’s the only way to describe what I’m doing at the moment.

  • My story, “Working out the Kinks,” has made the first cut for the Oysters & Chocolate Erotic Anthology. It may or may not get it, but it’s always nice to make it through the first round of picks, and O&C does nice work on their web site, so I’m looking forward to seeing how the anthology turns out!
  • I just got word that my story, “What We Leave Behind,” has been accepted for Best Gay Romance 2009, edited by the amazing Richard Labonte. This is one of my favorite stories I’ve ever written, and it first appeared in Vincent Diamond’s collection, Animal Attraction (Torquere Press).
  • Lastly, two of my stories — “On Snow-White Wings” and “Dog Day Afternoon” — have made the first cut for Best Lesbian Erotica 2009. They only take half of the stories that make the first cut, but I’m delighted and honored to have made it this far, and will keep my fingers crossed. “Dog Day Afternoon” was originally published in the lovely Lipstick on Her Collar anthology (edited by Sacchi Green and Rakelle Valencia, Pretty Things Press).

So, a busy few days in my inbox. And otherwise. One of these days, I’ll actually get back to blogging on a regular basis.

In the meantime, keep an eye out for my next post–in honor of this news, I’m going to give away a free copy of Best Lesbian Erotica 2008 or Best Gay Romance 2008. I’m going to steal Alison Tyler’s idea, though, and ask you to send me something in order to be eligible to win. Don’t worry, I won’t ask for your panties…I just haven’t decided what delectables I want from you all yet…

Best, s.
