There’s a lot going on in my world at the moment. Perhaps the most exciting thing right now is that I’m posting this while I’m mid-flght. Internet on the plane, while I’m sailing above the world! How fucking fantastic is that?! Despite the fact that American Airlines wanted to charge me $50 to check bags, I am liking them right now because of the Internet bit. So, lose a point, score a point. Score six hundred points if I arrive at my destination on-time and unscathed.
But, enough about the process of travel. What’s going on that’s writing-worthy, you ask? Oh, a bit of this and that:
- Just got the lineup of the Cougar Book, which features such amazing artists as Jeremy Edwards, Donna George Storey, Craig J. Sorensen, myself, and many more. Looks to be a yummy collection! For the whole lineup, check out the website.
- I got a rejection from College Boys.
- I got a couple of story acceptances for erotica anthologies, as well as poem acceptances for The Mom Egg and BluePrint Review.
The biggest news has nothing to do with rejections and acceptances — it’s that I’m struggling to write a bit at the moment. I’m trying to cut myself some slack, considering that I spent the summer being incredibly productive, and now I’m transitioning yet again. Lots of changes going on in my world at the moment, and it’s going to be like this for a little bit, I’m guessing, so I’m hoping I can learn to work in the midst of chaos. All pointers and cheats are very much welcome!
Until then, I’m walking, thinking, breathing, petting kitties, enjoying the company of friends, and seeing what’s next. You’ll know as soon as I do.
Kiss kiss bang bang, s.
