It’s not very often that I wish I had a different job. Now, there are many times when I didn’t have MY job — namely after two rejections in a row, or when the writing. is. just. stalling. so. bad. I. want. to. kick. it. in. the. nuts. But even then, I don’t want to trade it in for something else. I just don’t want to do it.

But then this morning I stumbled (totally randomly — I was searching for something unrelated) across this guy’s blog. Steve Ryan, photographer.

I about cracked up at this photo of him at a dildo factory. He looks so adorably uncomfortable that I want to hug him! Plus, I think the photos are really cool. I’ve done articles on chocolate factories, which are quite neat, and on coffee, beer and wine production, but never on dildo production. Can you imagine this as one of those “How Is It Made?” shows? What fun!

Okay, I’m done drooling over the idea of being able to photograph dildos and sexy women in hot clothes and sexy men on ocean trawlers for a living. It’s back to the words for me. Building pictures the only way I know how — one letter at a time.

What would you do if you didn’t write (or whatever you do for your “job” right now)? Paint? Sculpt? Drive a garbage truck? Be a fisherman? Make movies?

Kiss kiss bang bang, s.

PS — Cool Russian camera image by this artist.
