I have been dancing and twirling and whirling and doing the craziest of crazy movements all day. Why, you ask? Because I just found out some fantastic news: My short story, which appeared in “Like a Thorn,” is a finalist for the John Preston Short Fiction Award, offered by the National Leather Association! I can hardly believe it — and I can hardly hold still.
Congrats to ALL of the finalists, and a special kudos and thank you to Cecilia Tan and Circlet Press. Not only did they make this all possible by publishing “Like A Thorn,” but they topped the finalist list with two story nods AND an anthology nod. Way to go!
Now, I do believe a celebration drink is in order. Something strong and dark and decadent.
Kiss kiss bang bang, s.
